It is very important that you selected the EXACT scanner you have during the software installation, as this is when the scanner driver is installed.

The driver for each scanner is different, even if the name of the scanner is similar, i.e. the "strobe", the "strobe Serial", and the"strobe Pro".

selecting one that is not a match for the scanner you have, will install the wrong driver and the scanner will not work.
