Visioneer, a leader in intelligent imaging solutions, today announced the new Visioneer Strobe™ XP 200 and related software developer's kit. The Strobe XP 200 is Visioneer's most advanced 6 page per minute sheetfed scanner targeted at the corporate desktop user and is bundled with ScanSoft's® PaperPort® Deluxe 8.0 software.
The Strobe XP 200 is an extremely space efficient paper management and productivity tool. Measuring only 5.1cm x 6.4cm x 28.5cm it scans paper and photos from business cards up to legal size documents at 6 pages per minute. It has a resolution of 600 dpi with 48-bit colour and attaches via a USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 port. With Visioneer's patented PaperDriven™ and AutoLaunch™ technologies, the Visioneer Strobe XP 200 automatically scans documents and photos when they are inserted into the scanner. The Strobe XP 200 scanner then launches the PaperPort software and instantly places the document on the PaperPort Desktop ready for use.

Software Developers Kit
The Strobe XP 200 Software Developer's Kit (SDK), available for purchase separately, was created for third party developers and corporate users who want to use the Strobe XP 200 as the basis of a turnkey system or for incorporation into their existing workflow applications.
For developers who have or are developing their own applications, Visioneer's Strobe XP 200 SDK will allow for direct control of the scanner down to the low level driver. Developers can compile the ability to control the scanner into their existing code, allowing them to get documents and photos into their application with their desired settings without ever showing a user interface or allowing the end user to change the settings. For those with smaller scale projects or without programming experience TWAIN / WIA and PaperPort Links are another solution.
