Visioneer today announced the newest addition to their Slimline scanner series, the Visioneer OneTouch 9320 USB colour flatbed scanner. The new OneTouch 9320 USB is an extremely fast colour flatbed scanner with the ability to scan up to 3200 x 6400 dpi in 48-bit colour, has a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface and includes a transparency adapter for scanning 35mm slides and negatives.
"We are entering an exciting time when technology can allow us to introduce a 3200dpi scanner for under £150 when several years ago, scanners at this resolution were selling for thousands," said Peter Trapmore, European Managing Director. "The OneTouch 9320 also includes a built-in transparency adapter and film holder for scanning 1 negative or slide at a time at the scanner's maximum resolution of 3200 dpi. This feature allows customers to scan and store their old negatives at resolutions comparable to specialised film scanners at a fraction of the cost. The scanner's high 3200 x 6400 optical resolution eliminates rough edges and captures the finest detail from originals."
The OneTouch 9320 USB features 5 OneTouch buttons that are pre-configured for the most common scanning tasks, so users get great results within minutes of opening the box. Pressing one button takes the user all the way through the scanning task, not just launching the program. Advanced users can quickly learn to customise the buttons for even more power.
It also features Visioneer's patented FlashBack Bi-directional AutoScan Technology. With FlashBack AutoScan, the scanner moves one way to prescan the image area quickly, then reverses direction and completes the final high resolution scan on the return trip. Visioneer scanners with FlashBack AutoScan simplify scanning and save time by eliminating the second pass during autocrop scanning.
The Visioneer OneTouch 9320 USB comes complete with Visioneer Scan Manager Pro Advanced TWAIN driver, ScanSoft's PaperPort 8.0 SE with built-in TextBridge OCR and ArcSoft's PhotoImpression 3.0.
The Visioneer OneTouch 9320 will be available from November and the RRP will be £149.99.
