Visioneer, a leader in intelligent imaging solutions, today announced the newest addition to their slimline OneTouch scanner series, the Visioneer OneTouch 9220 USB, a powerful 48-bit, Hi-speed USB 2.0 Scanner.
The OneTouch 9220 USB is able to scan up to three 35mm slides or 4 negatives at once. It has a high 2400 x 4800 optical resolution and features 48-bit internal colour with FlashBack Bi-directional AutoScan Technology. It also comes with a Hi-speed USB 2.0 interface that is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 ports. 'Hi-speed USB 2.0' devices have data transfer rates of up to 480mbps. This is 40 times faster than devices that are rated 'Full-speed USB 2.0' which can transfer data at 12mbps'
“The OneTouch 9220 USB is perfect for the photo enthusiast who wants to scan traditional prints, 35mm slides or negatives,” said Peter Trapmore, European Managing Director. “It also works well for establishing a paperless office or creating colorful projects for print or Internet use. With it’s Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface, our in-house benchmark testing shows that it can scan a 4”x 6”photo at 300 dpi in less than 10 seconds and a full colour page at 300 dpi in less than 15 seconds.”
The OneTouch 9220 is Visioneer’s latest model to feature Scan Manager Pro, an advanced TWAIN driver with tools normally found only in high-end image editing applications. It also features Visioneer’s patent pending FlashBack Bi-directional AutoScan Technology to simplify scanning tasks. With Visioneer’s FlashBack AutoScan enabled, the scanner moves one way to prescan the image area quickly, automatically crops to the edges of the photo, then reverses direction and completes the final high resolution scan on the return trip.
Visioneer’s OneTouch scanners are engineered for both first-time and experienced scanner users. All OneTouch scanners come with the buttons pre-configured to scan at the optimal settings for the most common tasks, so first-time users can start scanning immediately. The OneTouch 9220 includes a driver designed for Windows XP to ensure stability and enhance your digital imaging experience.
